Le pain doré, c’est du sérieux pour nous. C'est pourquoi nous avons créé notre thé Pain doré à la cardamome. La cardamome est particulièrement populaire, on la retrouve dans tout, des pâtisseries aux produits de beauté. Nous avons donc décidé de l'utiliser dans ce thé noir sucré aux notes de cardamome et de beurre, rehaussé de cannelle et de sucre de canne. Le résultat est riche. Épicé. Et a le goût délicieusement gourmand du déjeuner de nos rêves. Sauf que vous voudrez siroter toute la journée ce thé digne d’un brunch.

We pick this up every year and it’s something I really look forward to as one of our holiday traditions. I am kind of disappointed with the overall lackluster presentation compared to previous years.
In previous years, they came in little tins that fit into boxes. They used to be a real work of art, with a super-heavy construction. They could easily be a centerpiece or left out for display. You could tell David’s tea used to put a lot of work and thought into its design. The first photo is from this year and the two other photos are from previous years. You can really see the difference.
The design, with the bags inside the boxes, does not work very well. The bags are slightly too big for the boxes, and they press against the inside, causing a slight deformation. Those boxes then fit into the slats inside the calendar, but the material is too flimsy, so the boxes either point slightly down or up and don't really want to stay in place. The overall effect looks forgettable and throw away.
This year, we will definitely be placing it in the tea cubby instead of on the fireplace mantel.I am sure the tea will be amazing as always. I am just a little disappointed in the execution.
My David's tea calendar arrived this week and it looks lovely and the box is sturdy and good quality. It smells divine and I almost wish I could dig into it myself instead of giving it away as a gift.
