Watermelon Cold Foam Matcha Latte
When you’re in the mood for a fruity iced matcha on a hot day, this creamy watermelon bevvie just hits different.
This latte gets a kick of sweet, nostalgic flavour thanks to our Organic Watermelon Matcha, a premium matcha sourced straight from Japan with a li’l organic watermelon flavouring.
Add on a pretty pink cold foam, and you’ve got the recipe for truly decadent, beautifully layered bevvie that tastes just like summer in a cup.
ingredients:
5-6 Perfect Matcha Spoons Organic Watermelon Matcha
120 ml hot water (not boiling)*
1 tbsp simple syrup (or to taste)
1 cup ice
¾ cup milk of choice
*Let it sit for ~5 min after it boils
For the cold foam
3 tbsp heavy cream or milk of choice
1 tsp simple syrup
1-2 drops red food colouring

Sift the matcha into a bowl and whisk with half the hot water until there are no clumps.

Add the rest of the water and whisk until smooth & frothy.

Stir in simple syrup.

Fill a glass with ice and pour in the milk.

Pour the whisked matcha over the milk.
To make the cold foam, combine heavy cream, simple syrup and red food colouring in a small jar or frothing jug. Froth or whisk until thick & foamy but still pourable.
Spoon the cold foam gently over the top of the latte.
Give it a stir and voilà!
