Earl of Lavender London Fog
We’re all for a good London Fog, but it can be hard to justify sipping this iconic tea latte late in the day (we like sleep, what can we say). Fortunately, we’ve got the tastiest workaround for you.
Our Organic Earl of Lavender tea uses rooibos, a naturally sweet and caffeine-free tea from South Africa, in place of black tea. It’s still got the bergamot flavour you find in a classic Earl Grey, and it’s got a touch of floral lavender to make it extra soothing.
Here, we’ve added a little sweetness with homemade lavender syrup (you’ll find the recipe below for that too), and a pinch of sugar—but feel free to sweeten according to your own taste!
ingredients:
1 cup hot water
1 ½ Perfect Spoons Organic Earl of Lavender loose leaf tea
1-2 tsp lavender syrup (to taste)
For the cream top:
2 tbsp heavy cream
1 tbsp oat milk
1-2 tsp lavender syrup (to taste)
Drop of vanilla extract (optional)
Small pinch of sugar (optional)
recipe:
-
Steep tea in hot water for 4-5 minutes, then strain.
-
Stir in 1-2 tsp lavender syrup.
-
Lightly whip cream and milk until soft and pourable (add your vanilla and sugar here if you’d like).
-
Mix 1-2 tsp lavender syrup into the cream.
-
Pour cream over the tea.
-
Close your eyes and take a sip of pure soothing!
