Cozy Cherry Hojicha Latte
This Cozy Cherry Hojicha Latte was inspired by one of our fave late summer fruits—after all, what’s summer without the sweet, juicy taste of bright red cherries? Even better, it helps pave the way for a suuuper cozy fall thanks to the decadent, roasted flavour of microground hojicha powder.
A take on our viral Cherry Swirl Matcha Latte, this bevvie is also just as delicious iced as it is hot. And bonus, hojicha has lower caffeine than matcha, so you can enjoy it as a toasty afternoon treat!
Things to Note: We recommend using a bamboo whisk—soak in hot water for about a minute before you start to keep it in good condition!
When you whisk your hojicha powder, make an “M” formation with your movements.
Using unsweetened hojicha powder? Make sure to sift it to get the clumps out.
ingredients:
2 Perfect Matcha Spoons (1 tsp) Supreme Hojicha Powder
90 ml (3 oz) hot water, 80°C (175°F)
30 ml (1 oz) cherry syrup
150 ml (5 oz) milk of choice

Add hojicha powder to your matcha bowl.

Pour in your hot water and whisk it good!

Drizzle cherry syrup around the inside of your cup, then fill it with ice.

Pour in your milk of choice.

Top with prepared hojicha.
